Pisco Bar Interiors

recovering the sense of ‘street’ and allowing the building to breathe.

Leoni Tan, Yvonne Tan and Nico Fraile decide to found Piscobar and put the seed for the creation of Jalan Mesui Spirit, one of the most famous F&B streets in Kuala Lumpur.

Piscobar, a new concept of Pub - Restaurant where chilled evenings alternate with crazy parties with international DJs and the best indie concerts in the country.

The current Pisco was hidden under the walls of a Mamak and an old apartment. When these layers were demolished, we found the footprint of an old balcony and two window frames, which showed the preexistence of an old alley.  These discoveries approach us to the idea of recovering this sense of street and at the same time provides the bar with an "open-end" and allows the building to breathe.

The materials were clear, Yvonne Tan, client and designer of a sublime talent, had the idea of keeping the brick nude and using raw materials. Idea that follows the style of current Malaysian architecture.

Brick, wood and concrete complete a simple design where the pallet ceiling design by Daniel Castro stands out.
