Who we are

This website is operated by Morson Architects Pty Ltd (ABN 54 603 944 556), Level 1, 263 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Information you send us — your email address and message when you use the contact form, and your name, email address, phone number and anything else you include when you email or call us. Contact form messages are emailed to us and are not stored on the website.
  • Technical information — our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
  • Website analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the site you came from, device and browser type, and approximate location (country and city, derived from an IP address that Google truncates). Google processes this on our behalf and may store it outside Australia. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising personalisation, and we do not use the data for advertising. If you are visiting from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, analytics only runs after you accept it on the banner.

We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, provide our services, keep records required by law, and keep this website secure. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Railway — website hosting and server logs (EU West (Amsterdam, Netherlands))
  • Google Workspace (Gmail) — receiving and replying to email enquiries (Google data centres, which may be outside Australia)
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — storing and serving project photographs (Asia Pacific (Sydney))

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure the information is protected to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

Besides the strictly necessary cookies the site's administration area and security features set (for example, protection against cross-site request forgery), Google Analytics sets these cookies when analytics runs:

  • _ga — tells repeat visits from one browser apart (a random id, not your name); kept for 2 years.
  • _ga_QR33QTWPW0 — keeps the state of the current visit for Google Analytics; kept for 2 years.

To opt out, decline on the banner (United Kingdom and European visitors), block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Links to other websites

Our site links to our profiles on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Architizer. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

People in our project photographs

Our project photographs sometimes include people. Where our project photographs show identifiable people, including students, Morson Group holds the written consent of the school or client to publish them, in accordance with Australian privacy law. If you appear in an image on this site and would like it removed, contact us and we will deal with your request promptly.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint about how we have handled it, by emailing info@morsongroup.com.au or calling +61 2 9380 4946. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
